Once a small fishing village, now the heart of Cornwall, Newquay is one of the most popular destination in Cornwall due its central positioning and hosts many events during the year.

Newquay has several beaches, Fistral Beach being the most famous as its considered a major surfing beach, hosting many competitions throughout the year, one of the may being the Rip Curl board masters, an event which impresses all year after year.
Truro is the capital of Cornwall & is just 20 minutes away by car or via Bus. Its has a great deal of history which can be noticed through its Georgian architecture and its cobbled streets.
The Cathedral found in Truro dates back to between 1880 and 1910, its the first Anglican catherdral to be constructed in England since Saint Paul's.
It is also the location of the Royal Cornwall Museum & the Hall for Cornwall
From Truro you can park up and take a ferry over to the delightful Falmouth.
Falmouth is famous for its harbour.Together with Carrick Roads, it forms the third deepest natural harbour in the world, & the deepest in Western Europe. It is also famoues for being the start or finish point of various round-the world record breaking voyages, such as Sir Frncis Chicchester and Dame Ellen MacArthur.
The National Maritime Museum (external link) is located in Falmouth and is well worth a visit.
Fowey has thrived as a port for hundreds of years, initially as a military town, then as the centre for china clay exports, and today is busy with trawlers and yachts, the Royal Fowey Yacht Club being on its front. A few miles away from the town is Golant's 'Sawmill Recording Studios'. Local bands have been frequented by the likes of Oasis and the Stone Roses.
There are many wonderful sea creatures that can be seen all around the Cornish shoreline, including Mullet, Bass, Mackerel (4lbs Specimen was once caught), Lobsters and Cuttlefish. Many of the species can be seen in the Fowey Aquarium in the heart of the town, which even includes a very rare Albino Bull Huss.
